In more WTF is wrong with people news, I got yet another guest comment accusing me of using AI to write and this one was just cruel:

"Honestly, this is borderline offensive. 80% AI? Have you lost your mind? Is this what fanfiction has come to? Letting a soulless program write something that’s supposed to be meaningful? This is absolutely pathetic. The pacing? Awful. The character development? Non-existent. And don’t even get me started on the dialogue – it sounds so awkward and robotic, it makes me want to puke. You clearly didn’t put any thought into this. It’s like you just handed the reins to an algorithm and let it create whatever junk it spit out. What’s the point of writing if you’re just going to let AI do all the work for you? You’re not even trying. I’m so angry I wasted my time on this. The least you could’ve done was put some effort into making it readable, but this? This is garbage. You should be ashamed."

It was left on the *same* fic as the other, a 1k Good Night Gorilla fic posted back in 2013. I can't imagine how it'd feel for someone unaware of these spammers to get a comment like this and think it was in anyway real and left by someone who truly thought that. I know it's fake and it's still depressing. I've seen some speculation that the current round of these comments is a result of AO3 fighting against the most recent scraper but who knows. Some people just have too much time on their hands and choose to be awful about it. I do not think I will ever understand.
