Pod People have arrived!!!

I bought donuts for dessert tonight.  My daughter said "no thanks" and that she wasn't hungry and my son said he'd rather have ice cream.

*sobs quietly in corner*  they said NO to DONUTS!!!!  I am so confused!

the key is to be quoteable

You seem to do that very well.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-04 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
*bows* I think we are both quite capable at that!

Although, I'm more so when talking instead of typing, I think...just ask the people I work with.

right, like they'd offer information on you willingly. You'd bribe them to answer the way you'd want. admit it

It's more like blackmail, really...

When you have the power to make them spend five hours washing dishes, they tend to listen.

*nods* good point. and those skills will be helpful if (or when) you become a mom. Do you really want dessert? Well, then...

threatening desserts- the only way to parent

Why do I all of a sudden have Pink Floyd stuck in my head?

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
I'm only accepting your eye batting because it comes with female!Jack.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
genderswitch!Jack can get away with a lot.

Monkey!Owen too

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
The man already gets away with a lot as it is. Add boobs and the world is in trouble.

Monkey!Owen is just too cute.

The mere idea of fem!Jack is fun, but I can't picture writing a full length story with him.

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
I think there would be far too much flirting for the good of one story.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
And god forbid if you had regularJack, fem!Jack and kid!Jack all in one.

Do you understand the appeal of Kid!fic. There seems to be a lot of it out there

The horrors.

Not really. To each their own, I guess.

it's like mpreg and massive AUs. I just back away slowly and try to pretend I never saw it

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-05 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
There are AUs I like. When someone takes canon and twists it (i.e. becky's story where oldJack went and helped Yana and then got Yana to open the watch and remember where JacobiMaster's TARDIS was) or even when they write about something basic, but differently- i.e. what is Ianto was in charge of TW1.

But it's the Jack is a ballet teacher and Ianto the shopkeeper from down the street type of story that I just can't fathom.
