Doctors Insulting Doctors

So, if all the incarnations of the Doctor where in the same room how would they insult one another?  Or what would they call each other anyway... (Not that I'm planning on writing the crackfic as mentioned here, but...)

I think they'd be vaguely polite with One so call him 'Old Man' or something...

Two could be "the Clown" and Three  'the Dandy" (as they were called in "The Three Doctors")

Four would probably be a version of "Teeth and Curls" (from "The Five Doctos")

But what about the others?

I was thinking "Celery Boy" or "Cricket Boy" for Five

[personal profile] wolfy_writing suggested "Big Ears" for Nine and "Skinny Boy" for Ten.  And [profile] lullabee_lj suggested "The Professor" for Seven and Romeo for Eight.

Wrong way round - Two is the clown (oversise tartan trews, played the whistle) and Three is the dandy (velvet jacket, ruffled shirt, cape, swagger stick)

Seven would be The Professor, since that's what Ace called him.

Ten made a lot of fun of Five about the celery, but Five was also a good spin bowler, so perhaps possibilities there.....

I fancy "U Boat Captain" for Nine, I know it was Jack's crack, but I'm sure Ten would remember it.

Oy, Two and Three- yes, that's how I wrote it in the comments on the original thread and just messed up writing it here.

Ah yes, 'U-Boat Captain' I always liked that little dig.

I think it might have stuck....

*nods* very true, at least in the sense that someone would call Nine on it.

[identity profile] aeron-lanart.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I do happen to think that jelly babies would be thrown around at some point, with the first three looking on in disgust (especially if Five brought his celery into play; and don't even mention Seven's umbrella or the hats).

Duplicate post to the one in fanficrants, but then it does say everything I want it too.

Celery Boy! Got to be Celery boy for Five.

Maybe they'd just call Six Colour Blind Clown (as opposed to a nice decent clown like Two)

Definitely Professor for Seven (I agree the rest might be a bit wary of insulting him too much as they wouldn't quite know how he'd react).

I like Casanova rather than Romeo for Eight.

Big Ears for Nine, yup that works. Don't know how you could work the Northern thing into a nickname which would be the other thing to pick up on with nine.

Don't really like skinny boy for Ten, don't know why. How about Tatty-Head?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Celery Boy is just perfect, isn't it? :)

Casanova's a character David Tenent played though, isn't it?

hmmm.... Maybe you're right about Ten.

[identity profile] aeron-lanart.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I knew DT had been Casanova, that's one of the reasons it amused me as a nic for Eight. I suppose you could call him Lothario instead... though I can here Nine calling him a wimpy byronesque romeo...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I really want this sort of crack!fic to exist. But I've never even seen Eight and only seen snippets of One, Three and Six so I'd have problems trying to write it. *sigh*

I get the feeling Nine would dislike Eight. It seems like they tended to dislike their previous incarnation and Nine's so hurt inside (well, hiding it, but still..)

[identity profile] aeron-lanart.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know enough about One, Two, Six or Eight to attempt it either. One and Two is cos I was too young to remember them first time around, Six is cos I stopped watching him after his first story (The Twin Dilemma?) as he annoyed me so much and Eight is because I only know him from the film even though he's had a lot of exposure by Big Finish Audio.

Totally agree with you about Eight and Nine, and I think they'd all dislike Six (nothing personal, oh no *whistles innocently*), be wary of Seven and respectful of One.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I think they would ALL be respectful of One. Even Two was in "the Three Doctors" (and Five, Three and Two were also in "The 5 Doctors")

I tend to lean towards them all secretly liking Seven but being a little confused by him. He seemed the most magnanimous and kind (to companions) of all of them.

Six. *shudder* I can explain why I never managed to watch much of him in one word- PERI.

[identity profile] hellenebright.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, I know - Six would be Migraine

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
oh that's perfect!

Really- what were they thinking when costume picked out that coat for him?

[identity profile] hellenebright.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably something along the lines of "this'll give the beggar a migraine" - aimed at the director!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder if there are any fics where the Master sees Six for the first time and just bursts out laughing

[identity profile] hellenebright.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
If not, there definitely ought to be!!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
something along the lines of the Master capturing the TARDIS and beginning to regal Six with his evil, impossible to overcome plan to punish and control him, but then seeing Six and starts to laugh 'oh no, never mind that's punishment enough' and just lets the TARDIS go

[identity profile] awanderingbard.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't think of anything precise, but I'm sure Nine would be teased about his Northern accent.

I can sort of hear Nine calling Ten a 'hyperactive 2-year-old' or something similar.

Think 'Gramps' might work for One, as well. In a sort of affectionate way, rather than in a sarcastic one.

And you know 1-7 would be on 8-10 about their romantic attachments.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
oh, I like Gramps for One. It's got just the right touch of reverence and sarcasm.

Oh yeah- the earlier Doctors would NOT approve of the romantic aspects of the later ones

Gah I miss all the good posts

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2008-05-12 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
"Professor" is hardly insulting though... (except of course he didn't like it when Ace called him it)
How about Bubbles (his hair's just as curly as Four's) and Rainman (because of the brolly)? Then Five could be 'Boy' because of his youth...

Re: Gah I miss all the good posts

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-05-12 02:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno, for some reason I lump Seven in with One, the others wouldn't insult him (too much anyway)

I still have this perfect picture in my head of the horror on the Master's face the first time he saw Six. The revulsion and 'omg you have to be kidding me' combining with the 'god lord, how am I supposed to take you seriously like that'

I know what you mean :D Seven's like the Doctor's Doctor or something...
You got that Bubbles was for Six right?

Are you having a good birthday so far??

I like Bubbles for Six. It's mean in all the right ways!

I've had a donut and mocha so far today. I'm happy!
