aeron_lanart. Switched to TV!verse for a more expressive version of Bob.“Bob?” I called out as I entered my apartment. “You here?”
“Yes, Harry.” Bob sounded as if he were biting back a retort. “Where else would I be?”
“Oh, right, good point.” I threw my coat on the chair. “Anyway, I met an old friend of yours today.”
Bob raised an eyebrow at my remark. “Your mysterious client? Who was he?”
“Well, I’m not sure I buy his story, but he gave me three days’ pay to do some poking around.” Walking into the kitchen I began rooting around for something to eat as I continued the story. “He’s supposedly some sort of alien hunter...”
“Oh dear.”
“Sound familiar then?” I grabbed a box of Cheerios and stuffed a handful in my mouth as I wandered back to the collapse on the couch.
“I don’t suppose he gave the name Jack Harkness, did he?” Bob ran a hand over his face.
“So you do know him!”
“I... yes... wait, what did he say?”
“He told me you still owe him one.”
“I meant why did he hire you?”
“Oh that,” I waved my hand dismissively, “Jade Court, time travel, blah blah blah... Why do you owe him a favor?”
“What about the Jade Court? And time travel? That would go against the sixth law!”
“Don’t worry, your buddy Jack took care of it. So, tell me about this favor.”
“It is an exceedingly long story.” Bob crossed his arms and tilted his head so he wouldn’t have to look at me.
“That’s okay, I got time,” I said, leaning back on the couch, and putting my feet up on the coffee table. I had a feeling I’d want to be comfortable during this story.

And I hope Bob does tell you... *joins mad_jaks on the sofa*
You know it's funny how my brain manages to switch and combine the TV Dresden verse and the book. I don't see Karrin in the books as Connie in the series, but Bob I see as both and Harry is a combination... looks like the TV guy but doesn't dress like him or have the same car!
