They generally look brown, but I think they're actually hazel. In that moment of OMGTIMELORD with that bright white light in his face in "Utopia," you can see green in them too. But they usually look brown. Oddly enough, there are promo shots for Casanova where they look *blue," but they're not blue. *g*
No seriously, thanks. I'm trying to write a scene between Ten and Jack and I want a "brown eyes meet blue" sort of thing but then couldn't for the life of me remember the color. And I failed my google-fu as well. Maybe I'll play up the color-change issue too
I've seen the Jack/Ten scenes a ton of times myself, but only on youtube. But this is great because I can start with them being brown but looking deep enough he can see the specks of green trying to come through.
The browner side of hazel (or hazelly side of brown) is probably the best description I can come up with, they aren't a pure dark brown, too many greenish lights. Sort of Peat-y. They are also much darker than Peter Wingfield's (that's Methos to you *g*) eyes which are green-gold in some lights, and are officially listed as being hazel.
