Mysteries to Ponder

Title: Mysteries to Ponder
Pairing/Warning/Rating: Doctor Who fandom, spoilers for "Mawdryn Undead," rated G
Word Count: 100
Summary: Turlough was a bit of a mystery to the Doctor.
Author's Note: Written for the [community profile] dw100 challenge: miscreant

Of course, the Doctor knew immediately that something was hiding behind Turlough’s innocent exterior.  It had taken less than a second’s glance to see this wasn’t just some lost school boy who’d wandered into a transmat beam by accident.

No, there had been nothing accidental there.  Nothing innocent either.  Perhaps not an outright miscreant, but close.  There was something, something hidden about him that the Doctor needed to discover.  And what better way to find out what it was than invite the boy along when they left Earth?  There was a mystery there, one the Doctor couldn’t wait to unravel.

Awesome. I love the Doctor/Turlough thing because the Doctor must have sussed him out early on. Got to love Five's unshakable faith in his companions finding him too fluffy and cute to kill.

Fluffy and cute. that explains a lot. And it's a good thing so many people did find him too fluffy and cute!
