I shouldn't complain, hubby does dinners tues and thurs, even if I do tend to do most of the prep for it

I'll come home from work though to the mess he leaves in the kitchen, I wish I could teach him to do a little clean up too, but hey, the kids will have gotten fed, so I shouldn't complain

Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and deal with it don't you?
I've come home when my older ones were young to them being up waaay past bedtime but yep - clean and fed and 'happy' and on balance I'd definitely rather he'd forgotten to put them to bed than feed them...

getting them to bed can try one's patience, can't it?

I'm fairly good about just cleaning the kitchen and not complaining when I get home from work. If he wasn't willing to do so much I wouldn't be able to work so I try to remember that.
