Whistle While You Work

Title: Whistle While You Work
Pairing/Warning/Rating: Jack/Ianto, many things usually warned for implied or a crack warning, rated R
Word Count: 100
Summary:  Ianto's life took an unexpected turn after quitting Torchwood.
Author's Note: Written for the [community profile] tw100 challenge: Life After Torchwood, but blame for it rests solely on [personal profile] mad_jaks shoulders.  Now with a prequel

Ianto whistled happily as he puttered about, preparing the morning coffee.  This wasn’t the sort of future he’d planned, but after three years he’d grown to love it.

Are you sure you want to do this?  You’ll find leaving Torchwood is easy.  Jack had told him.  It’s leaving me that’s hard.

Ianto hadn’t realized the threat, or the promise, behind those words when he’d handed in his resignation.  But the next day they’d become evident.  He’d woken up with his memories, but without his clothes.  He’d earned a collar since then, and extensions for his chains.  Life couldn’t be better.

I only let the crack be known in select company.

I am proud to consider myself among the select few you allow to see that side of you!

I was going to say something about mutual crack sharing, but it sounded wrong even to me.

I think we could totally run that thing.

Being the engineers on the crazy train sounds much better than saying we're the inmates and we're now running the asylum.

OMG, I want a t-shirt that says "Engineer on the Crazy Train".

Also, I really want to metaquote that. It's so hilariously true.

metaquote away kiddo. It's the perfect sentiment

I would wear such a shirt with pride. Or use such an icon, it'd probably be more appropriate as an icon, since in RL I'm fairly normal

Done. (http://community.livejournal.com/metaquotes/6734744.html)

I know what I'm doing at work tomorrow.

OMG that would fantastic. Anyone know how to screen print?

No, but I have Photoshop and a Cafe Press account.

Much to the horror of everyone around me, of course.

I always thought that the internet should provide such a tool. I've certainly needed it often enough and there is a limit to how many you can steal at a time from Taco Bell. Better just give everyone who starts using the net a titanium eyespork.
