Summary:  Jack shows Owen his favorite way to win an argument.
Author's Note:  Written for sistercarrion's prompt for my latest writing meme

 

Owen was mad. Beyond mad.  Livid. 

Jack just crossed his arms and let the rant continue unabated as his own parentage was put in question and the curses rose to a level that would have made a sailor proud.  It was only when Owen surged forward, poking him in the chest that Jack decided he'd finally had enough.  He grabbed Owen by the shoulders and pushed him against the wall and into a rough, nearly bruising kiss.

"Jack... what the fuck?"  Owen gasped, arching into his grasp.

"If you insist, Owen," Jack replied with a feral grin, "if you insist."

Honestly? I have *no* idea what Owen's upset about. I tried several times to write this including some of his rant and it wouldn't work. Aren't drabbles weird that way? Glad you like it!

The brain works in funny ways, but it edits the unnecessary. Because the point of the drabble was Jack's (effective) matter of ending the rant, the motivation for the rant didn't matter. It especially doesn't matter because it's Owen, who can rant under just about any circumstances!
