friends 'r' us meme

stolen from a bunch of people....

COMMENT HERE AND I WILL:
a) Tell you why I friended you.
b) Associate you with something -- a fandom, song, color, photo, etc.
c) Tell you something I like about you.
d) Tell you a memory I have of you.
e) Ask you something I've wanted to know about you
f) Tell you my favorite userpic from your list
g) In return, you need to post this on your own

As a side note, I should probably admit right off that my answer to 'why I friended you' will be the same to everyone- I never friend anyone until they've friended me.   I'm far too shy (yes, really) to randomly friend people.

stupid question but is Manchester far?

I'll repeat what I comment below to Rusty- I feel stupid friending people. Asking if it's okay and whatnot (but I'd feel stalkerish if I didn't ask) so I don't.

Not counting people's alternate LJs I friended a grand total of one person without being friended first and then dropped them because I felt unwanted and dumb

Manchester is about 250 miles away - it used to be further (no seriously, Motorways are a great invention). My sister used to take me on the train the first time I went I was 3 so she would have been about 15... It was a very long train journey complete with having to cross London on the Underground.

I'd feel stalkerish if I didn't ask
Yeah - me too - and then if you ask you're sure to spot a rant somewhere a few days later about how only newbies ask if it's okay to friend someone's journal *facepalm*

it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't sort of thing isn't it? Not friending is easier. Sort of.

That is pretty far! Especially for the UK!
