My cat just meowered in his sleep, jolted himself awake and proceeded to fall off the chair he was sleeping on.

I should feel bad for laughing at him.

He did do the "lick paw, flick ear- I SO meant to do that" routine as soon as he fell.

I'm trying to think of a time he's fallen off something. He occasionally misses his leap up to the bathroom sink. He doesn't really react at all, just gazes at me and tries again. Though I have caught him doing the quick shift into "Oh, I just wanted to groom myself anyway."

ah the ol' "Why no I wasn't trying to steal your donut, I was just moving to get a better angle to lick my shoulder" look. Love that one
