oh crap

Election crap isn't over the MN - the senate race is too close to call:
1,210,790
42%
1,210,028
42%
437,146
15%

with 99% of precincts reporting. That means there will be a recount and a serious look at the absentee ballots and....

*VERY BIG SIGH*

eta- As of 6pm the race is 121644 for Coleman and 112167 for Franken so the margin is 477 votes!!!

microwaves are wonderful inventions

I still remember those few weeks I lived without one. It was horrible.

Heating stuff up in the oven is not quite the same.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
although some things should never be nuked and only heated in the oven...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
nuked onion rings are SCARY

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
yep- basically anything that's supposed to be fried

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
but plenty of things work great- like leftover chinese or pasta

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Leftover chinese sounds really good right now.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
I wish there was good Chinese near me, but no. :( The only decent place is a pretty far drive, although we still get it some times

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
There are too many to choose from around here.

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
It's kind of ridiculous. I can't find a McD's in my neighborhood, but there are about twenty Chinese restaurants.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
I'd rather go for chinese myself, but I know what you mean

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I have to admit, one benefit of having so many is you can usually find some pretty cheap.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
and it's usually fairly healthy- for fast and cheap. there's actual veggies and whatnot

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Definitely better than McD's.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
a smidge less fat and sodium I'd expect

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
the only bad thing about chinese food is sometimes there is a lot of MSG in it and I can't eat that

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
And, thankfully, a lot of places here don't use any of that.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
in NY a lot did, but you could request for them not to. Here, most dont, but I tend to forget to ask and have gotten in trouble once or twice as a result.
