When it was announced they were going to offer permanent accounts again, I was considering it until I read this...

It's almost here—the Permanent Account sale! For a limited time only, you can purchase a Permanent Account for only $175.

Okay, seriously? Last time it was offered it was something like $99, a year later it's this much more? *sigh* Before it was the same price as 5 years of paid account, now it's nearly 9? Wow. Even with it offering a few more amenities, that's still *really* expensive.

Anyone thinking of getting one or already have one and are very happy with it?

I have a permanent account, which I'm really glad I got when I had the money because now I would NOT be able to keep renewing it. And I still use it. And can't beat 140+ icons. I don't remember how much I paid. It was less than 175 but I think more than 99.

YEah, I'm pretty sure it was offered at $99 at some point. That I'd go for, $175, even with some going to a random charity? Not so much. Glad to know it's useful though
