The video "How Death Comes"
He stands in front of yet another body. The rain beats down hard upon the empty shell. Be they lover, friend, teammate, or even enemy, eventually they are gone. They all die and leave him, the good, the bad and the indifferent alike. They may be someone who has lived out their dream, or someone who has never had a chance to dream at all. To him they are just flashes of light, the spark of their life gone in the blink of an eye.
Death comes for them. Death always comes for everyone. Except for him. Never for him.

I like that very much.
Sigh. Sucks to be Jack. ::pets him::

If not pet him, I want to wrap him in cuddly blankets and feed him hot chocolate. (Especially in "Small Worlds") The man is an angst factory.

I love writing angsty or h/c Jack, although I've moved away from it lately

Is that weird? It's warm and comforting! Though maybe it's best not to give Jack sugar...
My normal reaction to "a (male) character I adore is hurting!" is to want to throw blankets, hot chocolate, and sometimes baby animals at them. Well, not throw. More nurturing than throw. :)

Love the last line. Just when I thought I was getting over the immortality thing, you write this and I'm flailing again, because it must hurt so much!

Might even watch the first episode this evening, depending on how much of my fic Alex finds for me to rewrite! :-)
Oh, want to get that meta thing done first too, before I switch Jacks.
Might be tomorrow, then.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to resort to cliche here, because it's so damn appropriate.
Poor Jack.
Thank you for this.
