it's a southern pie, not something I've made often but I wanted to do something other than our traditional pumpkin pie this year. It's either made with molasses or cane syrup (like my recipe) it's very sweet and gooey

I think it's called shoo fly because it's so sweet and attracted flies. or something. I dunno. I don't think I'll be making it again

you see the moon's gravitational pull caused the liquidy center to swish slightly to the side and jump out of the pie pan onto the cookie sheet. Not my fault. Not at all.
