Babylon 5 query

Jack, you won't flirt with Susan Ivanova, but you will with G'Kar? What is wrong with you?

Anyone here know B5 well enough to be able to beta a short scene between our illustrious flirt and the Narn Ambassador?

[identity profile] kensieg.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
I know B5 well. send it on over!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oops, It's not quite done, I decided I'm just not quite content with the end bit yet.

[identity profile] travels-in-time.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
It makes sense. Ivanova is probably giving off the Death Glares of Non-Interestedness, but G'Kar has a Human Fetish and moreover is interested in bringing telepathy back into the Narn race. As soon as he finds out Jack can get pregnant, it's a no-brainer!

*has not spent time thinking about this*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Why do I not believe you?

I'm wonder how the Doctor and G'Kar would interact. Cryptic-ness and snark abounds.

[identity profile] travels-in-time.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Oooooh, that sounds like an AWESOME premise. Go with it!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe when Jack and G'Kar are done not-flirting. It still needs a final *oomph* line.

[identity profile] travels-in-time.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
G'Kar was awesome all the way around. He brought the snark from the beginning, and then later on he brought the mystical crypticism (is that even a word?--maybe I mean the cryptical mysticism?). Also the Declaration of Principles:

*******************

The Universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice. The language is not Narn, or Human, or Centauri, or Gaim or Minbari. It speaks in the language of hope; It speaks in the language of trust; It speaks in the language of strength, and the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. But always, it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors, speaking through us, And the voice of our inheritors, waiting to be born. It is the small, still voice that says: We are one. No matter the blood; No matter the skin; No matter the world; No matter the star; We are one. No matter the pain; No matter the darkness; No matter the loss; No matter the fear; We are one. Here, gathered together in common cause. we agree to recognise this singular truth, and this singular rule: That we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and ennobles us, and each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the Universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one.

Depends on which Doctor of course. I would so LOVE to see Nine interacting with G'Kar.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Nine, or Seven, would be excellent. Oddly, I don't thing Ten or Four would work very well at all

G'Kar is *such* a slut. ;-) He and Jack are made for each other. ;-)

Early G'Kar, at least. *sigh* What a terrific character.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
but later he's deep and interesting... Less devious and all, but very interesting

I *loved* the G'Kar/Molari arc. They were simply *incredible*.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
those two were tied together, weren't they? From the beginning when Mollari's a washed up, second rate diplomat and G'Kar's a untrustworthy smile to G'kar practically being a religious figure and hating the popularity while Mollari's gotten everything he thought he wanted but none of it mattered anymore.

i can give it a quick looksiee too if you want. Jack and G'kar...then again, I can see it! If you can pry G'kar away from Londo...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I can see that!

The story would up not working. It just needed another line or so when I posted this but it still lacks the line

[identity profile] snakewhissperer.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
oooh, now Jack and Marcus........*swoons*

[identity profile] k-haldane.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
My daughter moped for a week when they killed Marcus.

[identity profile] snakewhissperer.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
its just a flesh wound! no seriously, that machine didn't drain him. Coma, maybe, not not dead.

Or he's immortal. I'm sure. This condo has a nice view on the River Denial

[identity profile] aeron-lanart.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Marcus is playing cards with Richie Ryan and Fitz from Highlander...

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Coool! It looks like you've got it squared away, and I only know the first season and a half anyway, but I just want to register my approval for this crossover. :)

(And Jack can flirt with G'Kar and leave Ivanova for me. *g*)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Now I have people to send it to, but it's not working. I thought it would and had all but the last line, but it's not. *mopes*

Ivanona *sighs* what a wonderful woman. (most, if not all, of B5 is up on the net for your viewing pleasure, courtesy of AOL so legal and everything if you are interested)

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Ivanova! I was netflixing B5 for awhile (streaming video doesn't work very well for me, I have a slow-ish internet connection) but then I think the new season of Torchwood started and then it just became a time thing, and I haven't picked it back up yet. I will, though!

Aw, I'm sorry it's not working. ::sends fic cooperation vibes::

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
oh, slow internet is annoying. mine's okay, usually. NEtflix is wonderful though. ♥s it completely.

I've put it aside for now, who knows, maybe it'll come together later!

[identity profile] amythest-n-ice.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Three way, Jack, G'Kar and Garibaldi, with alien donuts.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
:) I could almost see that. Except G'Kar only wants to be deep and mystical, which is not conductive to flirting, let along anything else
