Babylon 5 query

Jack, you won't flirt with Susan Ivanova, but you will with G'Kar? What is wrong with you?

Anyone here know B5 well enough to be able to beta a short scene between our illustrious flirt and the Narn Ambassador?

G'Kar is *such* a slut. ;-) He and Jack are made for each other. ;-)

Early G'Kar, at least. *sigh* What a terrific character.

but later he's deep and interesting... Less devious and all, but very interesting

I *loved* the G'Kar/Molari arc. They were simply *incredible*.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
those two were tied together, weren't they? From the beginning when Mollari's a washed up, second rate diplomat and G'Kar's a untrustworthy smile to G'kar practically being a religious figure and hating the popularity while Mollari's gotten everything he thought he wanted but none of it mattered anymore.

I only have extremely vague memories of Ghost Light, from Sylvester McCoy's run...but didn't it feature two characters who were tied together on opposite ends of the evolutionary spectrum? When one was "up", the other was "down"?

G'Kar and Londo always reminded me of them. In a weird sort of way.

I don't remember it all that well, but yes- there was Light and Control and the agent that mutinied against Light...

I know what you mean- opposites, but tied together

They were simply incredible.

And Vir, I would hope, learned from them both.

I would think so, his "Avrahami Linconi" bit (where he rescued Narns) shows that. and his friendship with Lennier probably helped too

I *loved* their bar meetups. :-) That was a riot!

And yeah, I see Vir becoming the most revered Emperor in Centari history. Possibly even bringing back the Republic... or at least laying the ground work.

*sigh*

I really need to get these on DVD.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
Lennier and Vir were hysterical with their meetups!

you can watch B5 online, nearly all the episodes, legally and everything!

Oh, damn. I know what *I'm* going to be up to while the kid's at her dad's in a week. :-)

I would apologize, but you know it'd be insincere

LOL!!!! I'll have to ration it. Maybe only one season a day.

:-);-)

oh man, S5 with Lockley would be painful that way.

I've just been watching random episodes. "My knights of the round table were men such as you. Well, maybe not exactly like you...."

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, Arthur was wonderful!

And yeah, Lockley would be painful, but then she was painful at the time.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Totally and completely a wonderful character and idea for a story

Not as bad as Tamlyn Tomita's character though. *shudders* B5's first second in command (in the pilot)

I didn't mind her too much, but then she was only there keeping Ivanova's seat warm. ;-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
good point. thank god she was only in the pilot though and we got Ivanova. Otherwise, it might be a different story

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Ivanova is *god*!" :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I love how snarky she can get. Like with the episode with the ribbons aliens (Drazi?) were wearing to designate an allegiance? And she just snags the leader one and then dyes it so they'll stop fighting?

YES! That was perfect! Such a down to Earth pragmatist.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
not to mention her famous/infamous 'sex' scene
ext_3440: (Default)

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Every time I think of her, *that* scene is the first thing that pops into my head. :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
it's one of the few up on youtube. with many, many views of course

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2008-12-14 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
But of course. :-) As it should be. As *all* things Ivanova should be. :-)
