The Master

Delgado vs Ainley.

Over the past week the kids and I have watched "Claws of Axos" and  "Logopolis."   And, I have to admit, I didn't see a huge difference in the two Masters.

Simm!Master was an entirely different character, but these two seems almost the same.  What sort of differences do you see between Delgado and Ainley's Masters?

Ainley Master was more of a nutjob bascially. His regenerations had failed and he'd spent some rather unpleasant times as a rotting almost-corpse before nicking Tremas' body and starting afresh. If that wasn't enough to make someone crazy I don't know what is.

This is why I'll excuse Ainley master his excessive evil cackling - he'd flipped his lid completely as opposed to being just a nice classy common or garden sociopathic psychotic megalomaniac.

Delgado master had *style* but Ainley was more unpredictable and downright nasty (even with the evil cackling).

garden sociopathic psychotic megalomaniac

I am now picturing a school's slogan "Want to avoid being your garden sociopathic psychotic megalomaniac? Learn to rule the world in style* in ten easy classes or less.

*ability to rule the world not guaranteed."

Anyway... that's a good point. I think I need to watch more Delgado to really be able to tell the difference though
