Snowcat!

So, earlier today fuzzbutt insisted he wanted to go outside.  He scratched at the door.  He meowed at the door.  He yargled and clawed at the door.

So, I let him out.

I should feel bad about that... but oddly I do not.  I did, however, let him back in right after I took the picture.

How *dare* you leave snow just lying around like that! You *imbiceeel*!

You watch. He's going to upchuck in your shoes. :-)

I really can sympathize. First it's "OUT, OUT! Let me OUT because I WANT it!" Then it's "NOOOOOOOOO! This is NOT what I WANTED. Let me IN! IN! IN!"

exactly! It's like you read his mind!

I am a terrible kittymommy. Truly terrible.

Mine would commiserate with yours. They think I'm awful. I don't go to bed when they're ready. I don't have raw fish awaiting their every whim. I let it *rain*, for goodness sake!

Hopeless, the pair of us.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
We're both utterly horrible! It's amazing they put up with us

I'm sure they're plotting. It just takes longer to get it together than they're awake every day. :-)

[identity profile] secbeth.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
At least he didn't want back out again!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
so, what's really saving us is the fact they need to sleep 22 hours a day?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
No, for once he was actually happy to be on one side of the door (once he'd experienced the snowy outside world, that is)

Pretty much. Otherwise, we'd be toast. :-)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there's also our opposable thumbs and ability to open the cans of tuna. That's got to help

Where do you think the flip-top can came from.

It won't be long now...

We are doooooooomed

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. All they really need are heating pads and easy open cans. After that, bye-bye primates!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
nah- they'll keep us as slaves for the occasional chin scratch

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
True, but they certainly won't need the current primate population density.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
true. all those cat haters out there better look out

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
I knew there was a reason I'd been bribing my cat with donuts all these years

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
See? You already knew this. Probably all cat people already know this. The whole thing is just self-preservation. I'm sure the Human Genome Project was started by someone who wanted to identify the Cat Person gene to facilitate our Feline Overlords' take over.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
you might be onto something there

But we should keep it under our hats. Wouldn't want the Dog People to figure it out.

Assuming they stopped chasing balls long enough.

*thinks*

That might just be an unfortunate use of the word "balls".
