Dear Anonymous,

Thank you so much for your many comments on my stories.  I really appreciate the level of commitment it shows.  I do apologize for "spamming the comms with my trite nonsenseā€ however, I must admit, I am a bit confused since that comment was left on a drabble that was never posted anywhere other than my own personal journal.  I also understand that not everyone appreciates crossovers, however it is unfortunate that you felt so vehemently against them.  May I suggest that you avoid reading stories that are labeled as such?  I realize this might be too simple a solution, but it may just succeed.

I also am aware that sometimes I have, in the past, made errors in punctuation in my stories.  Perhaps the twelve year olds that you know write with greater skill than my daughter, who happens to be that age, because what she does to the comma can only be described as criminal.  I have been lucky enough to work with several betas who prevent my comma usage from offending all but the most sensitive of people more recently in order to address these issues.

I have changed the way my journal is set up so that it no longer allows anonymous comments.  If you choose to leave a signed comment I will be more than happy to discuss my writing with you.  I do, however, plan on continuing to write and post my stories, hopefully there are other people out there who feel differently about my writing abilities than you.

Sincerely, donutsweeper

I suggest you disable anonymous posting too, just to be on the safe side. [livejournal.com profile] fandom_me explained how here (http://community.livejournal.com/torch_wood/1915204.html)

Can you disable it in communities, too? 'cause my journal's completely friends only, anyway, so I don't think I need to disable anonymous comments there :D and all my fic is being posted in my community.

oh, I guess I didn't realize that. In communities, I think, for each post you have a choice of screening Anonymous comments, but I don't think you can disable JUST their comments

Oh, well. I guess I'll just see if something happens or not and if it does, I can always react, right? *bounces* .. Okay, not the best tactic, is it? But never mind..

everyone has their own way of dealing with it. Do what works best for you!
