Dear Anonymous,
Thank you so much for your many comments on my stories. I really appreciate the level of commitment it shows. I do apologize for "spamming the comms with my trite nonsense” however, I must admit, I am a bit confused since that comment was left on a drabble that was never posted anywhere other than my own personal journal. I also understand that not everyone appreciates crossovers, however it is unfortunate that you felt so vehemently against them. May I suggest that you avoid reading stories that are labeled as such? I realize this might be too simple a solution, but it may just succeed.
I also am aware that sometimes I have, in the past, made errors in punctuation in my stories. Perhaps the twelve year olds that you know write with greater skill than my daughter, who happens to be that age, because what she does to the comma can only be described as criminal. I have been lucky enough to work with several betas who prevent my comma usage from offending all but the most sensitive of people more recently in order to address these issues.
I have changed the way my journal is set up so that it no longer allows anonymous comments. If you choose to leave a signed comment I will be more than happy to discuss my writing with you. I do, however, plan on continuing to write and post my stories, hopefully there are other people out there who feel differently about my writing abilities than you.
Sincerely, donutsweeper

Oh god I caught sight of your problem out of the corner of my eye and I
KNOW I meant to comment with something lovely and supportive. I can't remember if I did though I was kind of blinkered last night there for a while.
GAH I seriously don't understand the mindset of some people!
It gave me a huge happy when I found your cross-over stuff. I mean I'd never even contemplated DS slash but Benton/Jack works *so* perfectly.
And you've seen the crimes I commit with punctuation ;-)

While I'm at it: I state freely & for the record that I'm pretty severely tact-challenged, & since I've gotten into just as bad fights when I've tried to be tactful than if I just said what I thought & let the chips fall where they would, I concentrate on saying my piece as clearly & precisely as possible. But I do not make abusive personal attacks; that is completely beyond the line, whether in a professional or an amateur context.
Again, your response to this...person...was both mature & courteous.

I don't mind people being frank and saying "I didn't like this because X" or "Y seemed like a cop out" etc as long as they're willing to discuss with me WHY they feel that way. I've had many interesting discussions due to that.
Hopefully this idiot will stay away from the TW LJ boards from now on so no one else has to deal with them. :)
