Dear Anonymous,

Thank you so much for your many comments on my stories.  I really appreciate the level of commitment it shows.  I do apologize for "spamming the comms with my trite nonsenseā€ however, I must admit, I am a bit confused since that comment was left on a drabble that was never posted anywhere other than my own personal journal.  I also understand that not everyone appreciates crossovers, however it is unfortunate that you felt so vehemently against them.  May I suggest that you avoid reading stories that are labeled as such?  I realize this might be too simple a solution, but it may just succeed.

I also am aware that sometimes I have, in the past, made errors in punctuation in my stories.  Perhaps the twelve year olds that you know write with greater skill than my daughter, who happens to be that age, because what she does to the comma can only be described as criminal.  I have been lucky enough to work with several betas who prevent my comma usage from offending all but the most sensitive of people more recently in order to address these issues.

I have changed the way my journal is set up so that it no longer allows anonymous comments.  If you choose to leave a signed comment I will be more than happy to discuss my writing with you.  I do, however, plan on continuing to write and post my stories, hopefully there are other people out there who feel differently about my writing abilities than you.

Sincerely, donutsweeper

Thanks. Unfortunately there were many posts by this person, and many of them (maybe half of the 20 or so posts)were literally several paragraphs long.

I don't mind people being frank and saying "I didn't like this because X" or "Y seemed like a cop out" etc as long as they're willing to discuss with me WHY they feel that way. I've had many interesting discussions due to that.

Hopefully this idiot will stay away from the TW LJ boards from now on so no one else has to deal with them. :)

Uh-huh. Bully I said, but lots of very long posts sounds like rather severe emotional disturbance as well.

We can hope, but it might be prudent to be braced just in case. Not too long ago on another TW fan's journal some nutburger guy who apparently has a problem with sexuality, particularly female sexuality, was yowling about erotic fanfic being illegal, etc. He gave up after about a week, I suspect largely because we ladies took the opportunity to revel in lengthy discussions of pulchritudinous examples of masculinity. (Ha!)
