Random NCIS complaint

What would Ziva write a letter to her father in English?

side note- Polygraph chick is CREEPY

The letter thing... Yeah... I was telling that to the TV when she started it.

And the whole 'become an NCIS agent' thing... What the heck about her not being a US Citizen!!??

And the next ep looks kind of scary on the Ziva-ness front. *sigh*

GAH that bugged me so much!!! (The NCIS agent thing) As you showed with 3 seconds of digging, there are REQUIREMENTS to being an agent. Not to mention that whole citizenship thing *grumbles*

Next week looks TERRIBLE *whines*

I know... *pouts, whines, pouts*

How they can overlook the citizenship thing is beyond me. There's dramatic license, but that's taking it a bit too far.

The whole Mossad agent working for NCIS was stupid to start with, I can't believe they found a way to make it dumber. It's kind of amazing.

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-10-07 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
I know. It just doesn't work. It's like now they have this big hole they dug themselves into and they just keep digging instead of filling it back up and starting a new hole with someone else.

I wonder if naturalized Americans are even allowed to be in the NCIS.

It's such a dumbass storyline

Considering the trouble we go through for hiring with a very basic background check on vehicle registration at an army base... I would think there wouldn't be any way a person from Israel who was up in Mossad and whose Daddy is the director could ever pass muster....

They should have left her dead and started that new hole. Maybe that scarf wearing detective rookie....

that scarf thing sort of cracked me up. Yay for Competent!Tony though!

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-10-07 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
I know... I loved Tony in this episode. He was the write right amount of line between competent and goofy that he used to be before he became whatever it was he was last season.

I liked how Tony was teasing McGee in the beginning and with the sandwich. (and damn I want pastrami now)

That doesn't say anything about naturalized citizens, but it's pretty obvious from a quick google search about a person needing to be a US citizen.

*sigh*

Why do I have a feeling the writers/producers of NCIS have never even read that?

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-10-07 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
Wait... Just read #18:

Is U.S. citizenship a requirement for the special agent position?
Yes. Applicants must possess a US-born or naturalized citizenship. Permanent residents are not eligible to apply for a special agent position.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-10-07 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Still... it's not easy to be a naturalized. There's a lot of paperwork and time invested.

[identity profile] kaylashay.livejournal.com 2009-10-07 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. And she isn't even close to that yet. Plus... I think it would be really, really hard for her to get it. Years.
