Why this vid kicks ass:

This vid made me fall in love with the Magnificent Seven, it truly encompasses everything the series is about- seven men from all walks of life who had been loners, just trying to get by, but by coming together they each found a part of themselves and people not only to believe in but who would believe in them.

This is also just a wonderful song and really deserves a listen.

Thank you for the rec! I've just gone and watched the vid and now I am convinced that I *did* watch this show when it was on, at least enough for the characters/actors, costumes, and one of the horses to feel really familiar to me. The thing is, my family also watched Young Riders, and I think I may be melding them all into one show in my head.

Was there an episode where they had to raid a fort or camp to free one of them?

There was such an episode- Inmate 78, where the boys have to break Chris (the leader, the one in the video who is thinking back on his wife and son)

To be honest, I still haven't seen all the Mag7 episodes, eventually I will get to it, it's the first time I got into fanfic without being well versed in canon.

I actually went out and bought the song after listening to it.

I usually try to remember to see what vids are posted at crack_van, there's a hysterical Doctor Who one up today- all the Doctors and companions (through Ten anyway, when the vid was made) set to the Muppets singing 'Moving Right Along'.
