Watch, laugh, love

A Doctor Who video set to the Muppets' song "Moving Right Along" encompassing all the Doctors (through 2008 when it was made) and the majority of their companions giving a humorous look to the Doctor's poor navigation skills.

Watch it, you'll love it, I guarantee it.

I remember Four being President because he came back to Gallifrey in, oh, what was it called, Invasion of the Time Lords? Dangit, all those titles are the same! It was Leela's last episode. Anyway, he came back and claimed his Presidency (and his sash and helmet and, ahem, staff) so he could do some really tricksy stuff and foil the dastardly deeds of the current threat.

But I do remember Five running from the responsibility. It's funny how nobody who enjoys life wants to be the President of Gallifrey! I just listened to a Doctor Who Unbound audio where the First Doctor was trying to weasel out of it, too.

Wikipedia says it's "The Invasion of Time." But yeah, all those titles run together!

The First Doctor got offered it, too? I didn't know that!

Ah yes, the Invasion of Time, that's it! Ha, I was closer than I thought.

With the First Doctor, it's hazy because it depends on how much you accept the canonicity of the audios, and then even within the story itself, there's some weird perceptual stuff going on. His uncle (who was younger than him because of a regeneration, heh) was encouraging him to accept the Presidency, but by the end I'm not even sure it happened. But Susan may have been the President. It's so confusing. There was, however, a talking elephant. So it's all good.

I laughed so loudly at this I woke the cats

Whoops, I apologize to the kitties!

As Classic Who fans, we have lots of practice focusing on the good parts and letting the rest slide, don't we? *g*

Absolutely!

Kato, who had just gone to sleep after eating as he lamented his most recent lost toy (if he eats the fly he can't play with it anymore unfortunately) has decided to take getting woken up in stride and check out the ol' food bowl again. Never know what might have shown up in it in the last 3 minutes

Oh, the life of a cat! So simple. New wonders all the time.

Bwahahaha. The talking elephant makes EVERYTHING better.

I know, right? Even better, it was one of Hannibal's elephants. And it was a captain in his army.

Of. Course. It. Was. The audios always sound like the best kind of crack!

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2010-08-01 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the audios have some primo crack. They're only restricted by the medium of sound and the listener's imagination! They also have some quality drama, but it's nice that there's a mix. :)

I even have some of them, I just haven't listened. I should remedy that!
