IT intelligence

No one where I work has been able to access their email accounts so the IT professionals were sent off -site to take a look at the email server. They discovered it's something they can't fix easily and the email system won't be working again until tomorrow at the earliest. So they let everyone know that... by sending a company-wide email, which oddly enough, didn't go through... I wonder why?

I don't work on wed, so I'm not dealing with those idiots. A very good thing! I'm trying to catch up on the fics that were posted yesterday. But I need caffeine before I can bounce... :)

That sounds nice :D Not dealing with idiots can always brighten your day. As can fics, methinks :D

I just had caffeine (and a discussion whether it's Kaffein or Koffein in German, 'cause I can never get that right anymore. English has taken over my brain), but generally, I can always bounce. Even when I'm sick, in my head I'll still be bouncy. Yay ♥

Love your new icon!!! *sigh* Jack. Are you German? Or just speak it?

*bounces happily* Yes! I made icons! Posted 50 of them, too, over at [livejournal.com profile] shorikurai, if you want to have a look. Glad you like it, too. I certainly do *bounces more*

I'm German. Been German, never lived outside of Germany, never even left my city except for eight months spent in Dublin and what happens? My English is better than my German now *pouts*

Okay, not really, as long as I concentrate my German is still really good, but since I use English almost more than I use German, I still think in English all the time and that means the odd English word will slip into a German sentence if I don't pay attention. Or I start a sentence in German and notice halfway through that the certain sentence structure I was using doesn't even exist in the German language. I don't know if this should worry me. It probably should, right? What with German being my mother tongue and all that *sighs*

I shall have to go take a look!

I'm horribly impressed with anyone who can master more than one language. So even if you've managed to lose a bit of your german I'm still amazed you can be eloquent in more than one language!

I love languages. My self-declared goal in life is to speak ten languages fluently. So far, I'm at two (German and English), my French is getting better, my Italian sucks and I've forgotten almost all the Japanese I knew. Which wasn't much to begin with. And Latin doesn't count since I can't actually speak that one.

Holy cow.And to think somedays I'm not even sure I can consider myself fluent in english...

You seem rather fluent to me :D
