So this was my morning....


info here, the nice plume of fire was about 5 blocks from my house

Overall, having a state trooper pound on your door and tell you that the area is being evacuated is not the best way to start the day.

(I'm home now and everything is fine)

I was amazed how badly it smelled like gas when I opened the door and found the Trooper there.

well, I brought milkbones and she got one of those. and she had her walk around a pond with interesting things to sniff as opposed to the boring sidewalks she usually gets, so it wasn't as bad as it could be

Ah, but Molly reminds Nelson that people feed ducks at ponds and there is popcorn (possibly months old and just uncovered by snow) and bread crusts and a half a bagel and a piece of sausage thing that mommy didn't let me sniff long enough and what might have been a dried up hamburger!

(Mommy was less impressed than Molly was with all of that)

Nelson is all jealous now! I had to pick him up and carry him away from a bunch of spilled fast food. He was SO SAD.

HA! Not at you, at me. I saw that this morning and was all "OMG, DONUTSWEEPER!"

And then I thought, silly me, it's a huge place, there's no reason at all to think that she is in any way threatened, she probably doesn't even know it's happening unless she happened to switch on the local news.

I had not realized you were so close to it. A friend emailed me about it and my main concern after hearing there appeared to be no injuries was just how I was supposed to get home from work since they were not sure how long 35W was going to stay closed.

Glad you are safe! Sorry you had to deal with a little extra excitement today though!

the traffic snarls it caused were epic- 62 and 35w closed for a while. No fun trying to figure out ways around that, I'm sure.

It was scary when I opened the door to the cop and could SMELL the gas everywhere, it was so strong and just terrible smelling
