Author's Note:  TW/SGA crossover.  Eighth in alien donut crack!fic series.

Jack lay there, dead.  As he had for the last three hours. 

"Damnit, Jack.”  Sheppard grabbed the limp hand.  “The others will be back soon with the jumper but I am not returning to Atlantis until you’re alive.”  Since that incident with the donuts two months ago he’d been distant and cold towards Jack, but Jack still threw himself in front of a laser to save him, without a moment’s hesitation.  “You deserved better from me.”  Impulsively, Sheppard leaned forward and kissed Jack; he wasn’t sure which of them was more surprised when Jack took that moment to wake up.

You know, I was watching an episode of due South with my parents on Thanksgiving that had a scene with Dief stealing a donut from Ray, and I'm very glad that my parents didn't ask me why I found that particular scene so funny.

I cannot describe to you how much I love that line. It says so much. It's sad, it's funny, it's true. Anything you put after that would have made me happy. You totally had me hooked. Plus, the rest was sweet and wonderful. Um...yeah. You rock. Sorry for the weird rant. :D
