meme

I've being seeing this meme going around my flist and figured I'd give it a go as I'm trying to get back into the fanfic mindset:

I currently have 90 works posted on AO3. Choose a random number - no peeking! - between 1 (most recently posted/updated) and 90, and I will tell you three random things about that story.

AO3 doesn't have the majority of my fic, my LJ predates it by quite a bit and not only I did not move a lot of my existing stuff over, I do not crosspost most of my shorter things (drabbles, double drabbles and the like) there either, but there's a bunch of stuff, so have at it!

Heh, I do like that AO3 makes it easier to keep track!

Let's have...

13

Okey dokie, 13 is Hello Again For the First Time (http://archiveofourown.org/works/668327), a Haven fic written for fan-flashworks.

Haven is a show that has a convoluted timey-wimey backstory that plays out slowly in dribs and drabs and that's what I was focusing on in my story. I rewatched a BUNCH of episodes, several times to get the little hints here and there to refer to. Despite that (or because of it) it was fun trying to capture the feel of the characters' voices and plan out which plot points to hint out and which to mention when writing this. Having my story end with the canon introduction of the characters I thought just played into the convolutedness of the plot of the show and the two characters in particular.
