I was meandering about LJ and found [profile] wtf27  a "Where Crack Comes Home To Roost" community.  Except, where Captain Jack Harkness is concerned, many of their wtf prompts are actually canon...

1) Gender swap.
2) Transformation (animals). (I've already written this)
3) Transformation (inanimate). (Canon for DW- Love and Monsters- thanks [personal profile] mad_jaks!)
4) Wings.
5) Tentacles!
6) Mpreg. (canon for TW, sort of)
7) High school AU.
8) Apocalypse Now. (World's ended twice in canon EOD and SOTD&LOTTL)
9) Supernatural (creatures). (Fairies in canon)
10) Supernatural (powers). (ESP in canon- to an extent- with tech)
11) Fantasy AU (traditional).
12) Fantasy AU (urban). (canon- Utopia)
13) Fuck or Die.  (canon- Day One)
14) Pornstars. (Who doesn't think Jack has DONE this?)
15) Hookers. (see #14)
16) You see, I woke up gay. (NOT an issue with Jack- it's his canon character)
17) Trading Places.
18) Forced Union.
19) Timeshift. (canon)
20) Aliens. (canon)
21) Doppelganger. (canon- considering how many versions of Jack there are in the timeline)
22) Twins or Non-canon Siblings.
23) Out of Time. (canon- the show's already done this- CJH)
24) Slaves. (kind of looks like Jack's forced into working for TW...)
25) Media Crossover. (I've already written this many times over)
26) Spies and Agents. (canon)
27) OMG we forgot ___. (Writer's choice.)

So out of 26 specific prompts 13 are CANON for Jack between Torchwood and Doctor Who and another two (if not more) are completely in character for Jack.  I find that humorous.

That community sort of really cracks me up. I'm not at all tempted to write for those prompts *shifty eyes* Really.

Recently, there seem to pop up fics based on those prompts with Gibbs/DiNozzo. Which makes me all kinds of giggly.

Also? Hi *waves*

I might write for the prompts, without officially signing up or anything. Sometimes when stuck for ideas I'll troll trough prompt tables and see if anything jumps out at me.

A very cute Tony as cat was posted at ff.net yesterday. Very well done, did you see it?

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I do that sometimes, as well. Though, to be quite honest, I have more bunnies than time (or attention span) to write lately - ever since Tony made himself comfortable in my head, so I haven't done that in a while.

Yeah, it was posted on lj as well and I saw it. Haven't read it just yet, though, 'cause... Uhm. I'm sort of pretending to study. Really. *shifty eyes*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean about the bunny population- but sometimes they won't behave and play with me so I need something new and different to get the creative juices flowing.

I missed it being posted on LJ- I only watch the [livejournal.com profile] ncis_newsletter and didn't see it there. AFTER your tests are all done take a stab at it.

I can't remember ever not having enough ideas in my head... I always fail at actually writing them down, but... I definitely have enough ideas.

There was a link posted in one of the comms, going here (http://homepage.mac.com/princessnat/WalkInCloset/HeartsDesire.html) *shrugs* I bookmarked it for now.
.. I'll probably read it before my tests. I mean. There's no way I'm actually going to study for three weeks which is when my final exams take place, so... I might read it this evening. When I'm done pretending to study *coughs*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
as long as you intersperse actual studying with pretend studying it sounds like a plan to me!

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I figure once I'm done with organising all these papers and seeing what it is exactly that I have to study, I won't have any other possibility but to study. Those books aren't going to re-read themselves and all.. Be nice if they did, though. 'm lazy.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
A little laziness is fine. But passing grades are important!

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Even if I didn't study, the chances of me failing are very, very slim. I figure it's more of a question of personal ambition, by now, instead of something that really concerns my future. I mean. I want an average of 1.7 at least (1.0 is the best possible, the worst is... probably somewhere 'round 5.0 or 6.0, but for that, you'd need grades so bad they wouldn't even let you take the final exams). I'd get into the universities I want to with an average of 2.5

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
excellent- personal ambition is good!

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
that - and my mum said if I get 1.7 or better, she's paying for four weeks in Japan. Doesn't get much better than that. Perfect motivation ♥

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
oooh, excellent motivation! Get studying kiddo! a month in Japan! Wow

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
right-o! *wanders off to pretend to study some more*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
*cracks whip* go study! The internet will be here when you get back!

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I has studied!

... Or rather, I have organised all the stuff and thus gained an overview as to what I have to do in the next three weeks. But I think that counts, right? *looks hopeful*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
absolutely positively!
