crochet and recs
Whelp, I mostly gave up on this year's snowflake challenge, bouncing off a lot of the topics as Very Much Not My Thing. Maybe a few will interest me later on, who knows.
EAD's Birthday Bash had reveals, as usual I did some bad art and also crocheted a ton, this year's creations were:
That was FAR too much crochet done in too short a period since this time I didn't start any until the day after assignments went out but oh well. My wrist will forgive me eventually.

Now that Birthday Bash is over I've gone back to working on my two current projects- a rug made from supermarket bread-type bags and an afghan with a pattern I created that's an altered mosaic technique so the colors switch off and are brought up instead of having to be cut every row and then needing to do something with the 80 million ends after (I did one of those, it's a great technique and looks amazing, but omg the ENDS)

Today, with a formal missive from Koi Tower in hand and Zonghui staring at him with open concern, Nie Mingjue throws his head back and laughs and knows that no request will ever bring him such joy: Sect Leader Jin Guangshan has been brutally assaulted and, due to a conflict of interest, the Jin sect begs the assistance of the Honorable Sect Leader Nie Mingjue in the search for justice. AKA Wei Ying was raised in a brothel in Yunping, and Sect Leader Jin is having a very bad day. (a hilarious take on what it says on the tin)

Unlike in another world, he does not have to wait years to be found by his father’s martial brother. Instead, he is found by a woman looking for a child to love. From that, he grows up differently. Some things are changed. Other matters are not influenced by the absence of one child. And yet others were written in the stars long ago. Wei Wuxian’s Home for Lost Creatures by Stratisphyre (22k)
Summary: Wei Wuxian’s house came to town and settled by the sea. (A delightful meet-cute where LWJ and A-Yuan meet WWX when they discover a patchwork bunny, technically a fusion with 'Julia’s Home for Lost Creatures' but I know nothing about that canon and didn't need to to find this utterly charming.)
