Challenge #1: Update your fandom information.

Challenge #2: In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I checked, but didn't need to update my fandom info anywhere. All my accounts are ancient but I haven't changed anything so they're not out of date.

As for goals....

It order of them possibly actually being fulfilled:

Having the combination of time and brainpower to reorganize and update my useful links posts. I haven't been updating it as often as I should and have quite the backlog of links to add. I also need to check to see if all the old links are still valid (all 15k or so of them *SIGH*) probably split up the biggest post but have never had the energy to do so, but at least adding in the new links will be a start.

I want to rec something every week at recthething's community rec post. I've managed it for over 2 years now (about 28 months of every week and sporadically before that) and would love to continue the trend. It's been harder of late but here's hoping I can always have the time and luck to find great stuff to share there.

I would like to write (and post) something outside of an exchange. That's been a goal every year I've done Snowflake (and many years prior to it) and I rarely manage it, but rarely is better than never (which used to be the case) so who knows, maybe this year will be a year I do. I do have an old WIP I just started revisiting.....

Non-fannishly, and least unlikely, I should look into the local craft/crochet scene here or at least find if anywhere would be interested in donated knotted rugs or crocheted blankets.

Absolutely no pressure, but I’ve been looking for odd / low key volunteer things, so if you’d like a link checker, I am happy to get click happy and help you go through them.

Non exchange fic is also high on my list this year because I posted 2 this year and one of them is absolutely the thing I’m most proud of. Let me know if you want a gentle accountability buddy.

What a streak! Great job. Reccing is the best. I’m endeavoring to be on DW more and everywhere else less, so checking out the rec comm is on my menu.

i remember the useful links posts! reorganizing and updating them (and checking the links O.O ) sounds like a massive undertaking but how satisfying to do.

i'd be surprised if there's no one local who will take your rugs and blankets. i mean, come on, who doesn't love a nice crochet? right?

It's very satisfying, even if they do keep growing and growing (I think I started with around 400 links?).
