Snow! and rug and recs

We finally got a decent snow storm here, unfortunately on half price candy day so instead of buying cheap valentine's candy I spent the day shoveling, but oh well. Snow!!

The plastic bagel bag rug is coming along, I'm mostly posting these pictures because I'm curious about discord's image hosting's longevity so here's two pics put on discord at different times to see if there's any difference in if they go poof or not and how they work with and without the extra after the ".jpg" bit (also the difference between 3 rows and 7 of an oval rug with a 12 inch ruler for size next to it in both pictures)

okay interesting, the first was put on discord in mid January, the change for pictures not showing up without the extra stuff seemed to happen early feb and the newer one, which was loaded up to discord today, won't work without the extra stuff.

recthething recs, this week from candyheartsex which had only opened about 12 hours (the night before) the recs so I hadn't had much time to peruse the collection but still found some great art to rec from it:

Bone - Jeff Smith (Comics) - You'll get that done by next winter. Summary: Granma, Thorn and a whole lot of wool. (I don't actually know this fandom, but this art about knitting is adorably sweet)

Discworld - Do not meddle in the affair of wizards. Summary: Good life advice, that. Regrettably, Vimes' career made him neglect many such warnings, and here we are. (excellently hilarious art)

Original Works - [ART] Playful. Summary: A hapless dragon and a ball of fluff. (very cute)

Mononoke-hime | Princess Mononoke - Hunting the Tyrant. Summary: Who is the Lamb and who is the wolf is a matter of perspective. (Absolutely incredible)

The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System - Mòxiāng Tóngxiù - Song & Verse. Summary: Fanart entry for 2024 Candy Hearts Exchange. Shen Jiu/Shen Yuan. (lovely, locked to archive)

Sesame Street - I 🖤 U . Summary: Bert and Ernie are cooking. Naturally, Ernie doesn't take it as seriously as Bert would like. (Sweet Bert/Ernie comic)

Yeah :( bummer. Discord worked really well for image hosting before this (as well and as reliably as most anyway, which isn't saying much) but now with this change I don't know if that will continue to be the case. For sharing my crafting stuff here I'm sure it'll continue to be fine and it's tons more convenient than tumblr, but for exchanges? We'll have to see.
