So I spent all week trying to finesse this drabble for [community profile] tw100's friends and enemies.  Never did get it to work right and now that challenge is over.  *sigh* I hate it when writing's like that.

So, my flist has been quiet lately.  How are all of you?

drabble challenges are weird that way, aren't they? Some weeks I'll some up with 5 or 6 and others? Nada.

Lot of people seem to be having a blast at whoville. have fun there!

Whoville is so much fun. I've never RPed in my life, and I was so nervous before I took the plunge. I needn't have worried with such lovely folk being there. Anna has been such a star holding my hand this week, and her Ten and my John have hit things off great. Hee! In a week where my health hasn't been fantastic, it's been a definite 'up' point.

oh, I'm sorry you haven't been well! It's funny, because it seemed like Anna just started up over there. I've never RPed like that either, it sounds fun, but like you could get sucked into it very easily

Oh yes. Don't know how some people can keep a track of it as well as they do. It's actually proved quite useful for spawning some plot bunnies in my head, that may or not reach the light of day, but it's fun spawning them! It's good for working out perspectives and blocking too I've found. I'm thinking things through better, and hopefully this will have a knock on effect to my writing.

Ah health, I've not been too good over recent months. I've had to spend a lot of time indoors, laid up. It's proved a positive to me for getting back to writing though, and I've got to 'meet' a lot of new fun people that I may not have had the time to otherwise, so swings and roundabouts really.

I'm going to go have a look at the reverse fandom titles for [livejournal.com profile] tw100 later on. Figure out whether I'm going to give it a go this week.

Plot bunnies are always good! But sorry you've been laid up! :(

I always have a bit of trouble with the reverse fandom title idea. Are you familiar with [livejournal.com profile] slashthedrabble? This week their challenge is "past challenge revisited (http://community.livejournal.com/slashthedrabble/11309.html)" so there are 160 some-odd challenges to chose from. I think I'm going to peruse their list and see if any plot bunnies emerge

Anna's a quick learner. *g*

And has played a hell of a lot of threads by now...

Saying that, [livejournal.com profile] sistercarrion's an ever quicker learner. Her John is fantastic, she's bringing out my Ten really well, and she's writing porn in her very first thread. Don't think you can do much better than that!

Sorry about your writing, btw. I guess it'll come together in the end. :-)

Still though, you've only been RPing for what, 5 months? less? and you're a natural now!

Just under 5 months. It was just before Christmas.

But it's like anything. The hard learning curve is right at the start. After that it doesn't change much. :-)

(And thank you *g*)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-04-26 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
but you said yourself recently how much easier it had gotten, less erasing and whatnot. I bet a lot of people never get past that learning curve

*grins* You are so sweet. I always know where to come for nice words of support if I need them! :-)

Any time kiddo!
