So I spent all week trying to finesse this drabble for [community profile] tw100's friends and enemies.  Never did get it to work right and now that challenge is over.  *sigh* I hate it when writing's like that.

So, my flist has been quiet lately.  How are all of you?

I'm busy researching rodeos for an AU which I've promised myself not to start on until the F/K/V and the Lake House fics are done. But it's so INTERESTING! *facepalm*

I've done that sort of thing (spent hours researching something I *wasn't* going to write) or spent hours researching something that'll get maybe one line when I write the piece. At least it's interesting, right?

Well, if this ever gets written it'll need a LOT of background, which I'd like to be reasonably accurate, and considering I've only ever been to two rodeos, I need lots of info.

The problem is, I've got so many other things that I ought to be doing instead. Prioritizing is always a problem for me...

But what the heck. This is fandom, it's supposed to be fun, and about doing what we want, right?

I always think of writing fanfic as hosting a big party- you move from group to group whenever you want or need to. Sometimes you stay long enough to finish the conversation (aka story) other times you have to leave before you're done and really mean to get back to it and other times you flee in horror.

Priorities schmriorities. Have FUN!
