The Furry Doorstop

Title: The Furry Doorstop
Pairing/Rating/Warning: Jack/Fraser, rated G
Word Count: 100
Summary: Ray is confused when he finds Diefenbaker acting as a doorstop at Fraser's apartment.
Author's Note:  Due South/Torchwood crossover.  Written for [personal profile] travels_in_time

Ray walked down the hall to Fraser’s apartment, rapping on the door before pushing it open, like always.  But this time it only opened an inch.  He peered through the crack at the furry doorstop.

“Deif?  What’ca doing?  Hey Benny, let me in!”

Blushing, and decidedly rumpled, Fraser finally opened the door.

A stranger grabbed Ray’s hand and shook it firmly.  “You must be Ray,” the man said, smiling.  “Benton’s told me all about you.  Sorry, gotta go.  I’m running late.  We lost track of time, errr, catching up.  Later, Benton!”

Then he left, questions and confusion swirling behind him.

oooh, that does have possibilities. No way it could be a drabble though, or even a ficlet. I *tried* to keep my SGA/TW short.

But now I'm wonder about how a discussion between Shep/Jack would go with comparing their experiences of wraith/Abaddon sucking the life out of them....

That's a good point--they'd probably understand each other, all right. Not sure how you'd actually get them to talk about it, though...

No idea, Shep, in particular, is not a 'sharer' when it comes to info... hmmm.. must ponder this....

Perhaps he might be more willing to talk after sex... *g*

(Have no idea if he would or not, since I don't know the characters very well, but it's an idea!)

Go on - it'd be fun! :-)

No way on earth I could write the sex scene between them... I also think that it's a conversation they'd only have under dire circumstances, kind of like Ten and Jack's talk in Utopia, if the door and the fate of the settlers didn't hang in the balance they would never have talked

OK, do that then! *g*

I do NOT, NOT need another huge fic hanging over my head! Old Man 4 and my [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang will NEVER get written then.

You people are all evil

Sorry! I didn't realise it'd have to be huge. :-(

And I forgot to say I liked the actual fic, too - I was so busy reading all the fascinating comments!

You know me, if it's not a snapshot I can't do short. Glad you like the fic!

I'm probably evil for even joining the conversation, but I'd like to register my interest in this story as well. There are so many parallels, it would be an interesting topic to explore, and Jack might be the only one who could drag a conversation like that out of Sheppard.

I can see how it wouldn't be a tiny little short fic, though. You know, whenever you get to it! :)

Not evil at all! And it's on my list. You can't go wrong having a lot of interesting plot bunnies nipping at you!
