Photo meme response

Since I can't figure out how to post them as photos in the comments....

[personal profile] rustydog asked for donut place.  My favorite place closed last year, but the week before it shut down the kids and I went and got one of their massive donuts.  The things were huge- the three of us couldn't finish it in one sitting.  We took a picture for posterity:

[profile] jadesfire2808 asked for fluffy.  This *very* old photo of fuzzbutt and daughter (who is almost 13 now) came to mind.  I was going to take a current photo, but he's hiding under the bed and being, in general, terribly uncooperative.

[personal profile] kensieg asked for garden, here's some tulips!

If anyone else has any requests, please feel free to go make them

1. Now that is a donut.

2. Hee--the cat looks like, "I have exactly five seconds' worth of patience left. 4...3..."

3. Pretty!

How my kids survived without having their faces clawed off by that cat is a mystery to me

Holy cow, that donut! Did they make a lot of those? So sad that it closed down!

I LOVE the picture of fuzzbutt and baby girl! Both of their expressions are priceless. Is her arm all the way around his belly?

Pretty tulips, did you grow them?

A wise cat understands when he's got it made and knows that all ends if he hurts the humans' kittens. *g*

They sold plain glazed and the chocolate icing and also icing with sprinkles. They sold tons. But when Krispy Kreme came to town a lot of the mom and pop places had problems keeping up and went out of business. Then KK left and now there are very, very few donuts places around. That makes me very sad.

She's got one arm on the grass, pushing herself up and another bent, her elbow buried in cat fur. I want to say she was 11 months or so in this shot.

The tulips... it is more accurate to say I don't kill them. The previous owner planted huge gardens full of perennials around the house. We've been here 3 years and my brown thumb has managed to kill off most of her hard work. Somehow the tulips keep fighting valiantly against my "help"

true. However, the human's kittens's shoes are fair game. *ewwww*

LOL! Well. Yes.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
bloody evil so-and-so. Good thing he's so cute.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-06-26 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
It's mind control. *nods*

You sound like me. My aunt gave me three nice plants for my patio for my birthday last year, and one of them has survived in spite of me. *facepalm*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
speaking of which... he's finally out from under the bed. He's standing the in doorway and staring at me. Licking his chops. I'm a tad nervous at that.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
*clings* You mean I'm not the only one afflicted by brown-thumbitis? It's weird. If someone says "oh you should try growing whatnots, they're so easy and next to impossible to kill" than said whatnot do not stand even the remotest chance with me.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-06-26 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Uh oh. Maybe you should give him some tuna. Just in case.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-06-26 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
You are so not the only one. Now the funny thing is, my mom was that way with houseplants. She could grow anything outside, but inside? Nope.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
now he's staring at the wall. I keep thinking there must be some spider or evil bugthing there but nope, blank wall

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
I can't grow anything. anywhere. at all. I either over-water it or under-water it. Too much sun, not enough. Bugs get at it and eat it or nothing comes and pollinates it and it never flowers.

It's a special talent

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-06-26 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I hate it when they do that! Mine'll stare at the wall right over my head. And when I turn to look, of course there's nothing there. And he looks at me like, "You idiot. Made you look."

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly! But you can't *not* look because what if there is big evil monster-sized bug there?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-06-26 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Drowned or crispy, there is no middle ground. *nods*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
How do other people do it? *sobs* I just don't get it!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
then it'd be an "you idiot, what did you think I was staring at?" look

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-06-26 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Me either! We need a plant-killer's support group.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-06-26 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! There have to be more of us out there!!!

Plant-killers of the world, UNITE!!!

(not untie, which is how I typed it first. *grumbles*)

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-06-26 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
All too true. "I tried to tell you. Tsk."
