Photo meme response
Since I can't figure out how to post them as photos in the comments....
rustydog asked for donut place. My favorite place closed last year, but the week before it shut down the kids and I went and got one of their massive donuts. The things were huge- the three of us couldn't finish it in one sitting. We took a picture for posterity:

jadesfire2808 asked for fluffy. This *very* old photo of fuzzbutt and daughter (who is almost 13 now) came to mind. I was going to take a current photo, but he's hiding under the bed and being, in general, terribly uncooperative.

kensieg asked for garden, here's some tulips!

If anyone else has any requests, please feel free to go make them!

I LOVE the picture of fuzzbutt and baby girl! Both of their expressions are priceless. Is her arm all the way around his belly?
Pretty tulips, did you grow them?

She's got one arm on the grass, pushing herself up and another bent, her elbow buried in cat fur. I want to say she was 11 months or so in this shot.
The tulips... it is more accurate to say I don't kill them. The previous owner planted huge gardens full of perennials around the house. We've been here 3 years and my brown thumb has managed to kill off most of her hard work. Somehow the tulips keep fighting valiantly against my "help"

You sound like me. My aunt gave me three nice plants for my patio for my birthday last year, and one of them has survived in spite of me. *facepalm*

My grandfather was a fantastic gardener, and used to give my mother plants that he was sure "would stay nice and small". After about 3 months, they'd be enormous and covered in flowers. She used to do absolutely nothing except water them. We reckon they used to thrive on neglect :)

That is a very sad state of affairs! :( Awhile after KK came here, my local Shipley's (the one I can walk to, the ghetto donut shop) shut down for a few weeks, and I was so afraid that they'd been done in. Fortunately they opened again. I think, by some miracle, an equilibrium was eventually reached among the donut places, but it was touch and go there for awhile.

That is a nice thing about plants! Some of them are bound to be survivors, despite us.

I think the tulips are trying to show me up, I'll tell people I can't grow a thing and then there are those tulips looking bright red and pretty

I only have a slightly better than half record with houseplants. For some reason they're difficult - outdoor plants just make more sense to me!
Shipleys' specialty donuts (especially the apple fritter omg) are miles better than Krispy Kreme's, which taste like cardboard to me. And I think their regular glazed are a lot better cold. KK is great for a warm glazed donut off the conveyer belt, but other than that I prefer others.
