inlawland- the wildlife

There are so many deer, despite being in a fairly urban setting.  In the week we were there we saw 5 and got pictures of three:

in backyard

In front yard

In side yard

We also walked down to the beach and saw lots of animals there.

Lots of crabs:

A bird I *think* is a heron of some sort

A jellyfish

basically it was just very pretty there.

but a bit rocky.

Not good at all! And they will go right through your windshield if you hit them. Which does not lead to good things for either party involved.

ooh, I can imagine. Outstate MN (i.e. non-twin city area) has a LOT of deer so you hear about accidents with them all the time

My grandma (in southern Wisconsin) hit three deer in one year a couple of years ago. I can't believe she didn't get hurt more than she did. Those suckers are brutal with their hooves or antlers if they roll up your hood.

Three?!?!?! The insurance people must not have liked her. Wow, good thing she wasn't badly hurt!

She really shouldn't be driving at all anymore. We're just mad at the unscrupulous car salesman who sold her a car in the first place!

oh no! Yeah, there really needs to be better testing for people as they get older. When I think of my grandmother driving *shudder*
