Mine today was pick-the-line-where-everybody-wants-to-argue-about-prices. Pick-the-line-where-you-need-the-supervisor-constantly. *sigh*

oh yes, and then there's the line where the person waits to find their checkbook until the cashier's all done and then asks 5x what the ammount was and if she can write the check for over that... or the wait a minute I forgot the whatnot line...

Yes! Especially to the forgot-and-have-to-go-get-stuff. I've seen blessedly few check-writers in the last few years.

I love my debit card. Well, I love my credit cards for emergencies.

I use credit card instead of a debit card, but it's great- i don't need to worry about carrying around cash and I can earn $$ back

I loved my credit cards more when I wasn't running a balance on two of them. Ah, well, I'll get caught up eventually.

I never used to carry a balance on them. And then I was out of a job for a good long while. I'll get them paid off, though.

no income could be a problem, considering you still need things like food and housing and whatnot.

I was lucky- although there's been periods on unemployment we had decent savings to fall back on and I can make the most out of a very little bit of money.

I am very responsible with money. Normally. I dunno, in my family, we spent it when we had it and didn't when we didn't. My dad worked contract, mostly, a few months at a time. He made good money, and he usually went straight from one job to another, but sometimes it didn't work out that way.

That's good, though, that you can make the most out of a little money. That's definitely a good thing to be able to do.

it helps that I never really got into shopping or anything.. but I didnt really have a choice. Got pregnant right after getting married and I was too sick to work and hubby had difficulties finding anything decent. Luckily we'd saved all the $ we got as presents instead of blowing it on a honeymoon, but I hated the thought of going through it quickly so I learned how to make it last. It wasn't until we'd been married 4 or 5 years that we eeked above the poverty line

How long have y'all been married? (Yes, if I could remember how old your oldest is, I could work that out for myself, sorry!)

:) 13 years last January. My daughter will be 13 on halloween. a teenager *eeep*

13 years! That's not bad! And yeah, eep, a teenager. Although she sounds like a good kid.

Denise and Mike have been married *counts on fingers* for 18 years, wow it doesn't seem like that long.
