mad_jaks and I recently were discussing fic titles and how sometimes two totally different stories in two totally different fandoms wind up with the same title, so she came up with a meme idea:
Give me a title and I shall write a snippet for it in several different fandoms of my choosing.
random snippets from different stories with the title "Killing Time":
NCIS (last three lines)
"We did it, Boss." Tony sighed, exhausted. "We got him."
"Yeah, we did," Gibbs agreed, grabbing the reports off the printer. "Make sure the i's are dotted and the t's crossed. He's not getting out of this one. Not this time."
Supernatural (first three lines)
"You find us a case yet, Sam?"
"Nope. Dude, it's weird. There's nothing out there, no demon activity, no unexplained animal attacks, not even a simple haunting. It's like it all just.. stopped."
"Well, that can't be good."
Highlander (a bit from the middle)
Duncan tested the bars again. The middle one seemed a little looser now. Another few weeks and he might just get out of here. With renewed vigor he began working on it again.
The one I want to know the most about from this now is poor Duncan! Is he all alone and trapped? Just in some old jail cell trying to get out? Or something more?? Maybe the Hunters captured him... Oh my!
And poor Dean and Sam... There's nothing supernatural for them... poor boys. And of course, that means it is hinky.
Gibbs. Tony. Just an average day at NCIS. Or was it? Just who did they catch? Hopefully the reason Duncan's trying to escape from behind bars wasn't because Tony and Gibbs dotted those i's and crossed those t's. :-)
I guess you could say that Highlander was my first fandom... I was hooked on the show until they killed Richie at the end of Season 5.
It was also the first show I read fanfiction for. I found Highlander stuff and then a Highlander/Buffy crossover and the rest is history after that because I found TTH and the wonderful world of crossovers which eventually led to NCIS via a Supernatural / Dark Angel crossover.
The only other show that topped Highlander for me on the "senseless" death category was the last few episodes that ended Forever Knight. When they killed everyone but Lacroix by the time the show ended. *sigh*
Crossovers are my ultimate love, even if NCIS pure fic has taken up residence for me.
You know... I hadn't looked at this since my NCIS addiction started and now this line begs for a follow-up:
“I know Will, but where else can I meet hot women cops who want to frisk me?” His mouth turned upwards as his family gave him playful hits and his family settled in for a night of bonding and holiday cheer.
The question is... should Ziva, Kate or, heck, even Tony be the one to frisk him... :-)
Kate would be all professional while he stood there smirking from Tony's color commentary coming from the side.
Gibbs would probably head slap at the end and he would get an indignant look on his face and say, "I could file harassment charges for that you know." Gibbs would give him the "look" and he would back down and mumble, "Just saying..."
Tony would be talking the whole time. "Is that eye patch the real deal? Must have been some woman to take your eye with her."
"Wasn't a woman. The women in my life are more for evisceration than eye gouging. It was a priest."
"Must have been a hell of a confession. Care to share?"
Abby walked into Interrogation Room #1 with a determined look. She made a show of snapping the latex gloves over her hands, covering the rings on her fingers. Then she clapped her hands together before stepping up to the man watching her from the table.
"You're my first!" she said with glee.
The man who had faced powerful demons and a hell god trembled with fear at the sight of the Goth forensic tech walking toward him.
"Meet me in the basement tonight and I'll show you. Now go rescue our only witness. Don't want the kid dying before we get all the details about our eviscerated petty officer."

I hated the way FK wiped everyone out over a few eps. I was watching them as the originally aired... :-(

"Think we should go rescue him, Boss?"
"Nah. It's just getting good."
"Never knew Abby could be that..."
"That what DiNozzo?"
"That scary. It's actually kinda hot, Boss."
"Guess Abby was right about you, DiNozzo."
"Right about what?"
"Meet me in the basement tonight and I'll show you. Now go rescue our only witness. Don't want the kid dying before we get all the details about our eviscerated petty officer."
"On it Boss."
