Not until sunset, but yes! Much celebration to be had!

Sushi, for starters. :)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Sunset isn't until 8 or so here. We go with dinner. It's cheating, but only a little. I went out and got donuts for dessert *does happy dance*

It's the thought that counts. :P You made it 8 days. An hour or two isn't going to hurt.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
My thoughts exactly.

Although, oddly we have leftover matzoh still. *grumbles* I never buy the right amount of that!

I don't think it's physically possible to buy the right amount. I've never known anyone to do it. I still have a box left, but I have yet to make toffee. It's something that can be enjoyed well after passover. :)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I might threaten the kids with it. "Do your homework or I'll make you eat more matzoh!" That should work.

That's a good threat.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
None of this go to bed without supper here.... Go to bed after eating matzoh!!!

I'm sure your kids will be thrilled. :P

there just might be a mutiny in the ranks...

[identity profile] kateri-e.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
SHIT! He's bigger than my sisters, who is one huge cat. He reminds me a bit of this one scottish breed, can't recall the name.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
He's probably a Maine Coon, when he first looks out of the cage you see the M on his forehead with the darkened fur. They are a breed related to Norwegian Forest Cat and a few other cat breeds.

I wonder how much he weighs! :)

[identity profile] kateri-e.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe some Maine Coon some where in him but the ears, tail, and feet are all wrong. But he is a cute chubby kitty

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely not a purebred. Terribly cute though. If a bit expensive to feed!

[identity profile] hellenebright.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Can't see any Maine Coon in him (mackerel tabbies like this guy can sometimes also have that M mark on their heads) but he is one huge cat.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
The cat breed special I watched a few weeks ago mentioned the M and then there's the furry wide paws and ears, so I was going by that. He looks somewhat like mine, although he's probably a mix of some sort. I think Goliath is a good name for him though!

[identity profile] hellenebright.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Scottish Fold. They have folded down ears, and lovely round faces like this guy. And they're huge.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, the Fold, I was trying to remember that breed and couldn't! Yes, he definitely has some Scottish Fold in him

[identity profile] kensieg.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder how a stray came to be so big?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
stealing some doggie's dog food apparently.

[identity profile] haldane.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know what happened to his owners, but no way is that a stray cat. Aside from the weight (and eating rough doesn't pay *that* well), if you look at the speed he moves, he's used to having dinner come to him.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2009-04-16 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
He might have been living in the person's garage snacking on the free dog food for awhile... but he sure is content about his predicament.

[identity profile] hellenebright.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. I bet his owners live half a block away max, and this guy gets dinner at five or six houses on the way.

If it had been me, I'd have put him back out on the street and told him to go home.
