Writing Projects

I'd been debating doing yuletide this year because there were three fandoms that I actually had requests for this year, but now I've found out one (the one I wanted most) won't be making the final cut. :( I think I'll look into pinch hitting instead.

On the writing front the idea of NaNowrimo scares the heck out of me and even [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo seems a bit too demanding, but [livejournal.com profile] wrisomifu seems right on the money for me. It "is a writing group for underachievers who enjoy the company of same. To join, all you need to do is commit to writing (original fic, fanfic, to do lists, your thesis, your memoirs - anything!) for at least ten minutes each day for the entire month of November. And you are permitted - encouraged even! - to complain bitterly about every single word."

I can do that. And I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else felt the same way.

I think I can still manage Yuletide, even though both MASH, Numb3rs, Merlin and NCIS are rejected. How the hell was MASH rejected? The fandom is slower than a snail doing long division!

If I didn't have two people giving birth in November, I'd be tempted to try Wrisomifu. Maybe next year.

NCIS absolutely didn't belong there as a small fandom, and from what I've seen on my flist with Numb3rs and Merlin they do seem pretty active, but I am surprised about MASH. I was hoping for Magnificent Seven (the tv show) there's very little new going on even though some people are trying to drum up interest.
