I usually do, the last several I wrote for I didn't wind up getting feedback from the intended recipient, but I'm hoping it'll get my brain going in new directions. I feel like I've been doing the same ol' same old lately
For a show that only had 20 something episodes it has a very loyal fandom. Although, it's interesting how much fanon there is for it. (some basic things, like the town it takes place in, were never mentioned in the series, but fanon has named it)
There's got to be something that reaches out and grabs people. It's always a shame when a show dies on the vine, especially when it's still sparking people's imaginations a decade later.
Mag7 was one of the cases where fan support got the show to avoid cancellation- it originally only had a half season but got renewed based on the support. The network still cancelled it after the next season, but it's always nice when fans get the brass to listen like that.
some basic info to get you started- crack_van's overview (http://community.livejournal.com/crack_van/1024966.html)
The really neat thing about Mag7 is there are several AU verses, where someone wrote an AU and then decided to open the idea up and let anyone who wants to play in that playground. The most common is the ATF verse, where the 7 live in the modern day as ATF agents in Denver.

Although I have a NCIS ghost story idea that's been burbling in my brain for a bit.

If you ever want someone to bounce plot stuff off of, you know where to find me. :-)
Speaking of long plotty NCIS fics, I've got one to run through one last beta as soon as my headache passes. It's a 'zine fic, but it's a *good* one.
