Things you do when the internet crashes...

Actually got some work on my rug done today while watching "Due South."

It's a little over 28 inches long and 13 inches wide.  I can't write worth crap lately, but I can still braid!

And.. minor "Due South" squee... (safe and spoilerfree)

Ray can't remember if he did or did not commit a crime and asks Fraser:

Ray: How do you know? How do you know? How can you be so sure?

Fraser: Because I know you. You're my partner. And you're my friend.

awwwwww

YES! I love that line SO MUCH. Because Ray's just kind of...lost and Fraser believes. ::squishes them::

Ooh, nice rug! I'm the world's worst about starting projects and never finishing them. I'd have, oh, 1/2 a rug here, 2/3 of one there...

It's really that moment Ray realized Fraser wasn't hanging around because Ray was pretending to be "Ray" but because of who he was. (errr, that made sense in my head)

Do you braid rugs too? or hook them? I have another started one also, but.. ehhh.. progress is hard

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2007-12-05 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, that makes total sense. And it's true.

No, I've never made rugs. I've made wire jewelry, mosaics, and had a brief flirtation with embroidery, though. *g*

so you're familiar with the 'ehh, let me put it aside to work on later' idea... (and never pick it up again)

I wonder if Paul Gross is a huge curling fan, he's in a movie about it and they watch a lot of it in the episode

Oh, yeah. Very, very familiar.

I don't know about Paul Gross and curling, but if I had to make a bet, I'd go for "fan."

I really liked Lt. Welsh in this episode. I need to write something with Welsh and Jack commiserating about being in charge and the fools and bureaucrats they have to deal with

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2007-12-05 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Welsh. And yeah, you should definitely write that!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
my list of stuff to write is pathetically long.... *eeek*

::eyes list of things I want to write people for the holidays::

::eyes plotbunnies::

::cowers::

Yeah, I hear ya. *g*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
my plotbunnies have morphed into plotwildebeasts and they're multiplying

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2007-12-05 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Plotwildebeasts! Yipes! ::sends you LARGE cattle dogs to herd them::

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
are the dogs capable of figting off you and Becky's insidious influences?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
you're mocking me aren't you...

I WILL finish this stupid gravestone fic without any incestuous telepathy porn, do you hear me? (I have different idea for the telepathy porn between 9/jack anyway)

I love you. Have I said that lately?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
lol! It's your holiday present, so I hoped you'd like it. I need to finish this tombstone one first. Will you be around tonight? I might have it done enough for a beta then.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2007-12-05 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah, I'll be around, and I'd be very happy to look at it for you. I'm off to Target and the grocery store now, rah. But for some reason I tend to come back from Target with plotbunnies, so that's OK at least.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
plotbunnies from target and chocolate from the supermarket? (or donuts?) sounds good to me

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2007-12-06 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
::waves:: I'm back, whenever you need me to take a look!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-06 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
a version is almost done. I chopped out the telepathy porn and graveside terribly written sex. It's back to angsty sad now now

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
He wasn't just in that movie, he wrote, directed, and wrote the music for it. I think of Men with Brooms as his love song to curling. *g*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't know that! It's on my netflix list, but I haven't had a chance to see it yet
