Things you do when the internet crashes...

Actually got some work on my rug done today while watching "Due South."

It's a little over 28 inches long and 13 inches wide.  I can't write worth crap lately, but I can still braid!

And.. minor "Due South" squee... (safe and spoilerfree)

Ray can't remember if he did or did not commit a crime and asks Fraser:

Ray: How do you know? How do you know? How can you be so sure?

Fraser: Because I know you. You're my partner. And you're my friend.

awwwwww

YES! I love that line SO MUCH. Because Ray's just kind of...lost and Fraser believes. ::squishes them::

Ooh, nice rug! I'm the world's worst about starting projects and never finishing them. I'd have, oh, 1/2 a rug here, 2/3 of one there...

Ooh, cool rug. My grandmother braids rugs (and knits and crochets literally 20 things a week). I love all those sorts of crafts. I'm currently working on cross-stitching bear ornaments. I have the opposite problem though - I can't stop! Not even when my hand is swollen and my shoulder hurts. Mum and I craft together, she's knitting a sweater right now. We usually do it while watching movies or DVDS (recently, the third season of due South).

*does not have an appropriate due South icon* Curse you LJ and your limited icon space!

Anyway, yay for due South! It's weird, I live in Canada and I have only met a handful of people who watch/watched due South in my neighbourhood. I was introduced to it by my brother's fiancée, who is a huge fan. I've met more people at livejournal (most of them not Canadian) who are fans than here, in Canada, where it was originally aired. The great thing about due South is, if you watch any other show made in Canada, you will find a due South actor on them at some point. They're everywhere. My friend's cousin, Polly Shannon, was on due South and in Men With Brooms (she was the rent-a-date). My brother's fiancée met Polly recently and Polly said 'she's very quiet isn't she?' and my friend said 'oh, she's just trying not to ask you about Paul Gross'. :D

That line for me really sums up the relationship between RayK and Fraser - quite different from RayV.

If you're interested, the third part of Best Coffee in the world is now up here (http://hellenebright.livejournal.com/22076.html). Be warned, the guys finally got around to porn.

Reminds me of a braided rug my grandmother made for me when I was a little girl. Granny had so many skills.

I love your rug. Rug braiding is one of those things I meant to try, once upon a time. When I was a kid there was a family I spent a lot of time with, and they had this round braided rug that totally fascinated me because it had all kinds of interesting things woven in it, including what I would have sworn were Wrigley's Doublemint wrappers.

Actually, I should probably ask about that rug. My mom's still friends with the mom of that family.

Eee, I forgot! "Asylum" is one of my favorite RayK episodes. "I just made a curling reference. I gotta lie down." And Men With Brooms is hilarious.

Awww *pets Fraser* that's a great thing for him to say...

And congratulations on the ruggage even though I'd rather you were writing ♥
