Jack?  Please shut up.  You're supposed to be in a tale of intrigue and aliens, not having tea with a giggling four year old.  Remember the mystery?  The reason this whole stupid story is being written in the first place?  Do you think you can address that part sometime this century?

Plot=hard.  Tea and crumpets=fun.  *sigh*

Did you say sugar?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
isn't with sugar the proper way to have tea?

[identity profile] smithy161.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
No sugar, thanks!

What on earth were you watching?

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I wasn't watching - my husband sort of was - it was one of those real life police case things about missing children and as soon as he walked out of the room it got really nasty - I'd really rather not repeat what they were saying about it really was that unpleasant.

[identity profile] smithy161.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Eek. Sounds horrible >.< Good job you switched it over!

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)

*orders child to add another cup* Sugar? Milk? Rancid Yak butter?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
wait a sec... which kid is making the tea? Didn't you say one makes tea that tastes like dishwater?

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
That one is safely tucked up in bed it is my middle son the one that makes *good* tea that is brewing up :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
*phew* Then have the kidlet bring one for me too, please!

[identity profile] smithy161.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
No rancid yak butter for me, I'm on a lactose-free diet.

I'd make more Mongolia jokes, but I actually know nothing about the place other than that there might be yaks...

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
yaks are funny... lots of jokes to be made about yaks!

[identity profile] mad-jaks.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Well that makes two of us then.

So black tea then yes? And you can add your own sugar and/or lemon as necessary

*pours*

*fluffs pillows*

Nighty night

Thank you, ma'am.

*Sip!*

[identity profile] smithy161.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Perfect!

I like how a discussion about Jack having a tea party evolved into us having a tea party.

*Passes around biscuits*
