inlawland- the view

Their house is one of many with a view of the Sound

Foggy View:

Morning View:

I wanted to get a sunset over the sound but the weather wouldn't agree.  :(

and just for fun, picture of cat who has trained inlaws to let him drink from the bathtub:

*hee*

Wow, gorgeous! And hee at the cat. Sid does not drink out of the bathroom sink, no. Of course not.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Of course not! :)

They have two cats. One will *only* drink out of master bath sink (which can not be left on but has to be turned on for him) and the other will only drink from guest room bathtub. He doesn't mind if it's left on all day but god forbid he goes in and you don't immediately appear to turn on the water!

Bwah! At least Sid only jumps up on the sink when I'm already there. If he thought he could convince me to follow him around and turn on faucets for him though, he would

Sid obviously knows that while he considers himself boss, you have control over the food bowl and messing with the person in charge of that is bad news.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medley_/ 2008-08-03 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! There's a limit to how much he's willing to push the person with opposable thumbs. *g*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
however- if he figures out how to get cat food delivered you better LOOK OUT!

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
better keep an eye on those credit card charges- just in case. you never know what cats can get themselves into late at night when everyone else is asleep

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. My cat does that too. Actually, he'll occasionally drink out of other containers - the water I draw for watering plants, the cold water I put out to soak my feet in hot weather. But never, ever, his water bowl. Sometimes I'm afraid he doesn't drink until I come home and turn the bathroom tap on for him.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Cats are weird that way. He'd probably drink from his bowl if he absolutely had to, but *boy* would he complain about it!

Plant-watering water is fair game here, too. But Sid does drink out of his water bowl, mostly.

Oh my, what a gorgeous place! That's some consolation. Nice pictures!

And I'm impressed you got the kitty with her tongue out, it's not blurry or anything. Cute. :)

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
I took three shots trying to get the tongue out. I have an SLR, it's a great camera. Big, but excellent for clear shots

It's such a beautiful place.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
it's lovely- with great weather too- never even into the 80s and no humidity.

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
See, the fact you can't get a picture of a sunset around here makes it all the more awesome when you do finally see one.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I was beginning to think they were mythical and didn't exist out there

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
They're like a white buffalo: very few and very far between.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
drat, now I'm hungry again

[identity profile] the-dark-side.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
So was I...so I got a donut before I went and did all my shopping.

Wow, that's one gorgeous view!

I'd forgotten bathtub drinking cats! Minstrel used to perch on the edge of the basin and lean in to drink, but then we got a new basin and it's got much narrower edges so he can't do it anymore. :-(

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Minstrel has probably never quite forgiven you for that! :)
