Forced Forgiveness

Title: Forced Forgiveness
Pairing/Rating/Warning: NCIS fandom, Gibbs/DiNozzo,  spoilers for "Hiatus", rated R
Word Count: 200
Summary:  DiNozzo is going to forgive Gibbs, no matter what.  Gibbs will make sure of that.
Author's Note: Written for the [community profile] slashthedrabble challenge, forgiven

I admit it.  I screwed up.  I quit, probably in the gruffest, most painful way possible.  I said “You’ll do,” handed him my badge and gun and left him standing there, looking like I’d just punched him in the gut.

I should have said goodbye.  I should have said thank you.  I should have told him he was a good agent, that he was my friend, my lover and given him the respect and trust he always gave me.

But I didn’t.

I’m back now, but he doesn’t look at me way that he used to.  His eyes are cold and distant, his tone clipped and careful.  He acts like there was never anything between us but the job.  Every interaction is terribly professional now.  And I can’t find the words to make things right.

But I was never one for words.

So I fall back to what I am good at.  Actions.  I’ll make him understand why I did what I did.  And why he needs to forgive me.  I look down at him; naked and tied to the bed, the sleeping pill I slipped him starting to wear off.  It’ll take some work, but he’ll be mine again.

oooh, that AU would really work!

And yep- it's hard to think of it completely healthy for Tony- especially with the way he already is a little down on himself and his abilities. Many people have written a decent D/s relationship between the two as a result, but far too often its Tony as sub to a ridiculous degree.

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. And I will write it *cracks knuckles*

Most of the time, I can see it as a healthy relationship - 'cause Gibbs is a caretaker deep down and Tony needs someone who'll take care of him. So it works, most of the times. It stops working when Gibbs stops taking care of Tony and starts treating him in such a way that makes me want to slap him silly.

As for D/s relationships between the two of them.. I guess I can see it work (even though I am a bit queasy about the whole... I don't know how to describe this properly. I think the mentality of it works very well for the two of them, at least from what I understand is the mentality of D/s relationships, with the Dom taking care of the sub and all, that'd work. The whole... calling someone sir and the specifics and semantics of a relationship like that.. Not my thing. Though honestly, I don't know anything about D/s relationships outside of what I read in fiction and you can't really trust fiction, so really, I'm not gonna make a general statement about D/s relationships *babbles*), but it's not my thing *shrugs*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
SO with you on the slap silly idea...

I know exactly what you mean with D/s. Sometimes it reads more like humiliation- especially the ones that have Tony being a sub at work- wearing a plug or chastity belt or being forced to give gibbs a blowjob in the elevator or whatever.

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
EEEEP! I so did NOT need those mental images *shudders* I hate the whole idea of humiliation. Which is why Gibbs needs to be taking care of Tony, not humiliating him. Otherwise, I'm going to lose all my respect for Gibbs and that's not going to end well.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
EXACTLY! (and sorry) It's possible to write it in a way that's almost sweet and caring and that gives Tony the reassurance and boundaries and love he needs

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
's okay. I watched happy!ncis episodes, so now I'm good. I'm not into the whole D/s thing at all whatsoever, but yeah, there's good ones out there. And I've read those and liked them. I just normally don't read those *shrugs*

Sweet and caring and reassurances and boundaries and love are good, though :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
there are some good ones out there, but far more REALLY bad ones

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
isn't that always the problem?

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-15 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
with fanfic in general. *sigh*

lol- the "Iguana" scene just aired.

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. 's sad, but true.

Heh, I love that scene. As a matter of fact, I love that whole episode. Tony's adorable in it - and I love that he knows how to dance.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
although- there's a lot in that episode that made me go "huh?" The bartender in Gitmo made ALL these movie references that Tony didn't get, and it didn't seem like he was faking not knowing about them- so the writers hadn't added Tony's love for movies/tv as a part of his character yet.

There's a line somewhere that refers back to the iguana scene.. something about Kate seeing Tony naked and he says no, he was wearing a chair at the time. :)

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, I honestly didn't notice that - which isn't all that weird, considering that pop culture references, especially when it comes to movies, usually go right over my head unless someone tells me they're there.

Yeah, I remember that, too, but I don't know in which episode they say that *wanders off to check wikiquote*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I only noticed it this time around, probably the 3rd or 4th time I saw the episode, and probably only because I was wearing my fanfic writer's hat

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Did you know Gibbs' dad was a fighter pilot? That's the stuff I notice when watching NCIS attentively *grins*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't remember that. I guess I tend to focus solely on Tony for that sort of thing

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It's very, very sublte. He tells Ducky that his dad had a pin-up girl painted over his P-51. P-51 being a fighter plane thingie.

I only remember this information 'cause I really want to write a story in which Tony is a fighter pilot *bounces happily* Inspired by this icon, by the way :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
ooh, there was an AU out there where Tony was a WWII fighter pilot- not well done, but *shrug*

Tony in that uniform? With the shades and all? SEXY

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, it was by thetenthmuse as well, I think. the WWII fighter pilot story. mine's going to be an au to the series, though, not AT or anything. gibbs will still be an ncis agent.

The shades and the attitude and.. the idea kinda kills me dead. I want to write that :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
was it? I couldn't remember.

I like the idea of it being set in the present better. You have quite the long list of NCIS stories to write, don't you?

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was :D

I do, yeah. I made a list of those that I really want to write (as opposed to those that I just sort of want to write), here (http://chatona.livejournal.com/73803.html) :D

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
oh COOL. I should do that. I tend to flitter about randomly and only write stuff that occurs to me at the moment

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Lately, I rarely write stuff that occurs to me at the moment - mostly, 'cause the bunnies that attack me are just too long to be written in one go and 'cause I never seem to be anywhere near a computer when the bunnies do attack. So I just sort of mull them around in my head a lot and those that stay for a long time get written in the end. Survival of the fittest, right here in my head. The poor bunnies.

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah- I know what you mean- some ideas are great, but will take weeks to write. Or I could just go for the easy snippet that might be able to bang out in a day or two

[identity profile] chatona.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I rarely have bunnies that I could write in under 1.000 words and seeing how I'm a terribly slow writer, 1.000 words take me more than a day or two *whines*

[identity profile] donutsweeper.livejournal.com 2008-03-16 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
that's why I like snippets- snapshots of a moment. 300-400 words and done!
