One of those days....

Coffee machines work better when turned on.  No really, they do.

I make a special kind of oatmeal (probably more properly called porridge) that cooks overnight. It's really yummy, but not when the oats have just been soaking in cold water for five hours. :)

Yay for good coffee!

ETA: Oh, and once I made an egg dish in the crock pot for my parents' breakfast. It had grated potatoes, eggs, cheese - I left out the sausage and substituted spinach because I'm a veggie. Pretty good, and so easy!

oooh- that wouldn't quite work so well would it? hmmm, waking up to warm oatmeal sounds yummy actually. But I lack a crockpot.

ooh- that egg dish does sound yummy (either way for me though)

I should have gotten one years ago, with my fondness for oatmeal and soup. but in my apartment kitchen I have space issues. Then my mom found a little teeny crockpot, just right for making about four servings, that was, gosh, around ten or twelve dollars I think.

I was thinking about posting the oatmeal recipe - maybe I'll do it today!

Once I was off on my own I've always lived in places with really small kitchens. Which stinks because I really like cooking and baking and whatnot.
